Math Journals!

We started a writing binder this year....this keeps all their writing in one place.  We use to have a folder for this and a folder for that........to many folders!  We have subject dividers for each section that we do.  This is from our math section.  This is working well, but the binders we ordered are a little big for my tables, so.....we have fun by picking a place on the floor  (only if they want) for our writing time.  Of course, if one K kiddo does it...they all do!  Always get a giggle with these adorable pictures they come up with.  These prompts came from....well you guessed it...Will have to fill in the blanks later when I find out.   So if these came from you...Thank you, I am lovin it!

I love Kindergarten!!! Aren't these just the cutest 2 dogs and 2 cats that you have ever seen?

Apples!!

This is our apple labeling activity.  Look at that handwriting......they are off to a good start.

OK........So my photography tells you why I am a K teacher and not making big bucks as a photographer.  Maybe I should practice taking pictures.

"Apple" solutely Fun!!

Here is the "Apple" solutely fun bulletin board.  The apples on the board are paper plates covered with tissue paper.  This was our "first" use of white glue......do I need to say more?  First time I have tried this activity and they turned out really cute.

Apples, apples, and more apples!!!

We just completed our unit/theme on apples.  We had a great time learning and exploring that wonderful "star" fruit.  It always amazes me what those little kinders can recall.

Finally!!

After a busy summer on the dairy farm and a start to the new school year, I am finally getting back to the swing of things.  I can't believe it was April when I last posted.  Once again, I must admit that I am the worst at taking pictures and sharing our activities here at school.  I do want to thank all the wonderful bloggers for all the help and ideas you have given and shared.  I use a lot of ideas from my blogging and if I don't mention you, I am sorry.......I see it and file it away and never give thought to write down were I got the idea or download.  My new school year resolution will be to recognize those you open their hearts and share their wonderful ideas.   Thank you!!
